Every Threshold, Thoughtfully Crafted

Doors and trim are the details people notice without realizing it—they define the character of every room and hallway in your home. Custom wood doors, whether solid-core panel doors, sleek flush doors, pocket doors, or statement barn doors, transform transitions between rooms from afterthoughts into design features. Paired with properly proportioned casings, baseboards, and trim profiles, they create the architectural vocabulary that gives your home its personality.

Lion Construction Management installs custom wood doors, frames, and trim across NYC and Long Island residential projects. We source and install solid wood panel doors, flush doors with premium veneers, pocket doors with soft-close hardware, barn doors with custom track systems, and specialty doors including arched, glass-paneled, and oversized entries. Every door is properly hung with quality hinges, premium hardware, and precise reveals.

Our trim work includes custom-profiled casings, baseboards, crown molding, chair rail, and specialty trim—installed with tight joints, proper reveals, and paint-ready or stain-ready finishing. We match existing profiles in renovation work and create custom profiles for new construction.

How We Work

1

Door Schedule & Hardware Selection

We develop a complete door schedule listing every opening—size, type, hardware, fire rating, and finish. Hardware selections are coordinated for visual consistency and keying.

2

Procurement & Coordination

Door and frame ordering with lead time management. Custom doors may require 6–10 weeks; we order early and coordinate delivery with the construction schedule.

3

Frame & Door Installation

Frames installed plumb and square, doors hung with proper reveals, hardware mortised and installed, and closers adjusted for code-compliant operation.

4

Trim & Finishing

Casing, baseboard, and trim installed with precision joinery. Caulking, filling, and final finish preparation or painting to complete the installation.

Why Custom Doors, Frames & Trim Matter

Interior doors, frames, and trim establish the visual language of your home — they're the elements you see and touch every day, in every room, at every transition. Stock doors from a home center are typically hollow-core, with generic profiles that don't match existing millwork. Custom doors are solid-core or solid-wood, with panel profiles, rail dimensions, and stile widths matched to your home's architectural style. Custom frames and casings carry that consistency from room to room. Lion Construction Management fabricates doors to your exact opening dimensions, matches existing trim profiles for seamless integration in partial renovations, and installs everything with consistent reveals and aligned hinges.

Custom Wood Doors, Frames & Trim, Answered

We install all types—solid wood panel doors (1-panel through 6-panel), flat/flush doors, French doors, pocket doors, barn doors, glass-paneled doors, double doors, arched doors, and custom designs. Every door is properly sized, hung, and finished for smooth operation.

Yes. Installing a pocket door in an existing wall requires opening the wall, potentially relocating electrical or plumbing within it, installing a pocket door frame, and refinishing the wall. It's more involved than new construction but very achievable. We assess the wall for obstructions before quoting.

We can replicate any existing trim profile. We take a sample or detailed measurements of the existing profile and have it custom-milled to match. This allows us to extend existing trim into renovated areas or replace damaged sections seamlessly.

We work with premium hardware brands including Emtek, Baldwin, Schlage, and specialty European manufacturers. For pocket doors, we prefer Accurate or Cavity Sliders. Hardware selection depends on your design style, security needs, and budget.
